Vietnamese Minister of Public Security receives Mozambican Ambassador

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam highlighted that, in the complicated the COVID-19 pandemic situation, Vietnam and Mozambique supported each other in dealing with the disease.

In 2020, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) presented 20,000 medical facemasks to the Mozambican Ministry of Interior in support of the Mozambican effort in the fight against the pandemic.

The host also expressed his delight at positive developments in the Vietnam - Mozambique bilateral relations over the past time, affirming that the cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and the Mozambican counterpart was expanded in many fields, especially in security protection.

The two sides have enhanced exchange of experience in law enforcement and criminal information sharing while coordinating closely in investing cases of transnational crimes, such as human trafficking, and wildlife trafficking.

The two sides also cooperated in manufacturing medical supplies and equipment used for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.

For his part, Ambassador Leonardo Rosario Manuel Pene sincerely thanked the Vietnamese MPS for their support and sympathy for Mozambique over the past time.

The Ambassador affirmed that, in his capacity as the Mozambican ambassador to Vietnam, he will bolster the bilateral ties for mutual benefits of the two nations as well as for peace and stability of the world in the time to come.
