Vinh Phuc Police asked to strengthen communal police force

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, leading a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on March 2 worked with the Standing Board of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee on the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety as well as building a professional communal police force in the province in the time to come.

The meeting also saw the presence of Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Member of the Party Central Committee,Secretaryof the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee.

Since the beginning of 2019, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department quickly settled complicated cases related to public order andsecurity at the grassroots level and effectively fought crimes, contributing significantly to ensuringlocal security and order.

in the face of complicated developments of the COVID-19 situation, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department has actively taken measuresto ensure local security and order while detecting and strictly handling cases of spreading false information about the disease situation on social networks.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan highly appreciated the effort of the local police force, especially in the disease prevention and control over the past time.

 She also thanked the Public Security Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security for creating favorable conditions for the provincial police force to successfully fulfill the political tasks entrusted by the Provincial Party Committee and local authorities.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam recognized and praisedthe outstanding achievements in all spheres gained by the local Party Committee and authorities as well as the people of Vinh Phuc over the past year.

According to Minister To Lam, building a professional communal police forceis a key task assigned by the Politburo and prescribed in the 2018 Law on People's Public Security Forces. Therefore, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee should pay due attention to strengthening its communal-level police force, which would supportthe People's Public Security Forces to fulfill the assigned task.
