Young Thanh Hoa police officers join hands in leaning beaches
PSNews - The Youth Union Chapter of the Provincial Police Department and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa on June 29 in coordination with youths of Tinh Gia District launched an environment campaign to clean the sea environment in 2019, focusing on collecting plastic waste.
The event saw the presence of Major General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Provincial Police Department, and representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, officials from 6 coastal districts and cities and 300 youths of various units.
The campaign was organized to raise the environmental awareness and sense of responsibility for the maritime environment of the youths, and encourage the community to have practical actions to protect the environment in general and the sea environment in particular, as well as gradually change people’s habit of using plastic products.
Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Hai Trung appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the youths in preserving and protecting the environment.
After the launching ceremony, delegates and over 300 youths and local people of Hai Hoa commune joined hands to clean the local beach.
On this occasion, the organizers of the event also presented gifts to 20 poor fishermen’s families living in fishing villages in Tinh Gia district.
