At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Tran Thi Kim Phung briefed the deputy minister and other delegates on the overall situation in the province and results of the task performance of the local police force in the past 7 months.

The Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department has instructed its subunits to seriously and effectively implement the directions of the Minister of Public Security on strengthening the organization of the communal-level police posts.

By July 2022, 253 commissioned police officers were deployed to all 47 communes and each commune now has 5 commissioned officers.

In the first 7 months of 2022, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department has received 100,365 applications for chip-based IDs, of which 39,155 have been integrated with e-identification and e-authentication.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung applauded the local police force’s good results in fighting reactionary forces, saying that, after the COVID-19 pandemic, reactionary forces have been increasing acts of sabotage against the Party, State and people, but the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department has swiftly discovered their plots, proactively advised the provincial government on effective measures to prevent such acts and stop reactionary political groups from forming and operating, contributing to stabilizing the political security situation and avoiding being in a passive position and unexpected happenings.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department to step up the implementation of Resolution 12 of the Politburo to build a local police force to meet the requirements for tasks in the current situation in the near future.

At the same time, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department must develop a project to build a really clean, strong, and elite provincial police force, with specific tasks assigned to its subordinate agencies and units.
