Binh Dien Prison plants more than 16,000 trees

Binh Dien Prison, based in Thua Thien – Hue province, held a tree planting event on February 22.
The tree planting has become an annual activity of officers and soldiers at the prison after the Lunar New Year, said Senior Colonel Ho Sy Luu, Chief Warden of Binh Dien Prison.
Major General Hoang Xuan Du, Vice Director of the Police Department of Prison, Correctional Center and Juvenile Reformatory Management, said the department had planned to plant more than 1 million trees in the 2021-2025 period.
In 2021 alone, the department planted more than 250,000 trees and will try to plant more than 300,000 ones in 2022. Of the figure, Binh Dien Prision planned to plant 38,000 trees.
