Decision on establishment of Ho Guom Theater announced
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony on the afternoon of June 9, in Hanoi, to announce decisions by the Minister of Public Security on the establishment and staff of the Ho Guom (Sword Lake) Theater.
General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, presided over the event, which also saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, as well as other senior delegates.
The Ho Guom Theater, located at 40-40A Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem District, was built following the joint decision signed by the MPS and the People’s Committee of Hanoi.
It is expected to host various cultural and art events of the country, the MPS and the capital city of Hanoi.
The theater is currently in the last stage of construction and is expected to be inaugurated in July.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To handed over decisions on the theater’s organization and staff.
Accordingly, the Ho Guom Theater is an office-level unit under the Department of Party and Political Work.
Major General, People’s Artist Nguyen Cong Bay, Vice Director of the Department of Party and Political Work, is appointed as Director of the Theater, while Senior Colonel Pham Minh Tien, Vice Director of the Planning and Finance Department is Vice Director of the Theater.
Minister To Lam congratulated the Directorate of the Theater and asked the two relevant Departments to accelerate the construction and assure effective operation of the theater.
