Department for Information and Communications pays tribute to martyrs
Leaders and officers of the Department for Information and Communication (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security on July 26 paid floral tribute to martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers on the occasion of the 75th War Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947).
The commemoration ceremony was held at the Hanoi Martyrs’ Cemetery, located in Bac Tu Liem district. Director of the DIC Major General Do Trieu Phong led a delegation, including leaders of the Department and representatives from subunits to the ceremony.
The delegation respectfully commemorated and expressed their gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and martyrs.
The Hanoi Martyrs’ Cemetery was built in the 1950s, where many martyrs are resting in peace, including Dang Thuy Tram and Nguyen Van Thac.
