The Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference on June 30 to review its task performance in the first half of 2023.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the conference. The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work.

At the event, under the authority of the State President and the MPS leaders, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan presented the second-class Fatherland Defense Order to one unit and the title “Best in Emulation Movement” of the Public Security Forces to 4 officers under the Department. Other officers and teams were also honored for their outstanding work results in the first half of 2023.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To applauded the achievements gained by the Department over the past time and asked them to strive to overcome all shortcomings and difficulties in the coming time.

The Deputy Minister highlighted the significance of the Politburo's Resolution 12 dated March 16, 2022 on the building of the People’s Public Security Forces and requested the unit to effectively implement the Resolution as well as thoroughly review the conclusions of General To Lam, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Minister of Public Security at the Conference on  the forces’ work of the first 6 months of the year, set out tasks and orientations for the last 6 months of 2023.

The Deputy Minister also noted a number of important tasks that the Department should fulfill in the remaining months of the year.
