Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung joins Government’s Steering Committee for Administrative Reform

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has approved the list of members of the Governmental Steering Committee for Administrative Reform.

The Prime Minister is the Head of the Steering Committee. The Deputy Heads are Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son; and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua.

The committee has 28 members, including Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Quoc Hung  and senior officials from 16 other ministries, the Government Office, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Government Inspectorate, the Committee for Ethnic Affairs, Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization with the function of helping the Prime Minister to research, direct, and inspect ministries, sectors, and localities to carry out their administrative reform according to the Government's administrative reform programs.

It also responsible for planning and making recommendations to long-term and annual administrative reform plans that the Ministry of Home Affairs submits to the Government.
