Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung meets Japanese police leader
Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), had a meeting with Mr. Tsuyuki Yasuhiro, Deputy Commander of the Japanese National Police Agency (NPA).
Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), had a meeting with Mr. Tsuyuki Yasuhiro, Deputy Commander of the Japanese National Police Agency (NPA), on November 24.
At the meeting, the two leaders affirmed that the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan has been increasingly developing in various fields with high political trust while the cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and Japanese NPA has brought about positive outcomes, especially in personnel training, information and experience exchange.
Since 2013, leaders of the two ministries have met 6 times in the framework of the Vietnam - Japan Vice-Ministerial Security Dialogue.
Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that, in the coming time, the two sides continue increase exchange of delegations at all levels, cooperate in human resource training as well as fight against cyber-crime and terrorism.
The Vietnamese head delegate also wished the Japanese side would aid the Vietnamese police firefighting means and equipment. He stressed the need to set up a representative office of the two ministries in each country.
For his part, Mr. Tsuyuki Yasuhiro also agreed with Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung’s ideas and requested that the two sides should enhance information sharing and cooperation in crime control in the coming time.
At the meeting, the two sides agree to organize the 7th Vietnam - Japan Vice-Ministerial Security Dialogue in Vietnam in early 2022.
