Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung visits revolution contributors
PSNews – On the occasion of the 75th Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – 2022), Member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung visited and presented gifts to revolution contributors in Da Nang City.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaderships of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung inquired after health of the family of martyr Hoang Van Lai - Hero of the People’s Armed Forces and the family of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Cam, and extended the best wishes to them.
Martyr Hoang Van Lai was the Head of the Security Division of the Quang Da Special Zone in the 1968-1975 period.
He then became Head of the Quang Nam – Da Nang Provincial Police Department. In July 1978, he died while pursuing members of a reactionary organization led by Nguyen Van Bay in Hoa Vang District.
The Deputy Minister visited Vietnamese Mother Heroic Nguyen Thi Cam, who is one of the typical revolution contributors in Da Nang City.
Five of her sons, including martyr Nguyen Van Mai, who is the father of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, former Deputy Minister of Public Security, were dead during the war.
During the meetings, the Deputy Minister expressed his deep gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and revolution contributors, hoping them to continue the noble revolutionary tradition and set a good example for their next generations to follow.
