Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen asks Ben Tre provincial police to step up the implementation of Resolution No.12

PSNews - A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, had a working session with the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department, on the afternoon of April 4.

The Board of Directors of Ben Tre Provincial Police reported on the order and security situation in the province, work results of the provincial police in recent times. 

Particularly, the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department has thoroughly grasped the situation and advised the Party Committee and People's Committee of the province on strategies to ensure order and security as well as to address issues arising while proactively directing lower police units to prevent and fight crime.

According to reports, the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department has received good investment for upgrading infrastructure, sufficient equipment, vehicles, weapons and basic logistics for the local police’s operations from the Ministry of Public Security. 

The Ben Tre Provincial Police Department also asked the local authorities to provide financial support for the construction of office buildings for 18 commune-level police posts in 2023. 

In 2024, it has proposed the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee to invest in building 41 more commune-level police headquarters.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen requested the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department to proactively advise the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ben Tre province to effectively implement Resolution No.12 of the Public Security Central Party Committee on continuing to build the commune-level police force to meet the task requirements in the current situation.

The local police should thoroughly grasp the situation, proactively advise higher-level authorities on solutions to ensure national security, social order and safety, while taking effective social preventive measures and professional approaches to reduce the crime rate in the province.

The local police should also pay attention to improve the efficiency of their administrative management of social order, enhance the implementation of Project 06, regularly disseminate fire prevention and safety regulations, maintain traffic order and safety, and step up the building of the “All People Protect National Security” movement.
