Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang receives Canadian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang hosted a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Weldon Epp, who is on an official visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Canada, on June 1, in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that, over the past time, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and its Canadian partner agencies such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Canadian Border Agency (CBSA) and so on, was strengthened and achieved many positive results in information exchange, crime prevention and training, and capacity building.
Sincerely thanking Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting, Mr. Weldon Epp highlighted positive developments in bilateral relations between Vietnam and Canada, emphasizing that the bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, investment attained great achievements.
According to him, the Canadian side hopes that the Government of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular will continue supporting relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Canada, bringing the bilateral relations to a higher level and achieve more good results.
