Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requests police forces to ensure security and safety for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory
PSNews - Head of the Security and Order Subcommittee for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang chaired the 2nd meeting of the Security and Order Subcommittee, on the afternoon of April 17th, 2024.
Reporting to Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang on the situation in the province, Director of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh said that the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department strictly followed and effectively implemented directions of leaders of Ministry of Public Security, the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and Dien Bien People’s Committee as well as instructions of related professional departments with a view to ensuring absolute safety for the Ceremony while denying unexpected security threats.
The Dien Bien Provincial Police Department advised the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee and the Dien Bien Provincial Security and Order Subcommittee to issue a detailed work plan, assigning specific tasks to each subcommittee member, while establishing an inspection team led by Deputy Director of Provincial Police Department to inspect the work of ensuring security and order in the province.
The Dien Bien Provincial Police Department also implemented synchronous measures to closely follow and grasp the security situation in the province, as well as practised countering terrorism, riots, dismissing illegal large gatherings of people , fighting fire and rescuing victims.
After listening to nearly 20 opinions at the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang concluded that the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory is an important event, carrying great historical meaning and value.
He requested the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department to closely coordinated with Central agencies, ministries and branches, departments under the Ministry of Public Security and other provincial police departments to synchronously and effectively implement security plans, with a view to ensuring absolute safety at the celebration venue and related locations while denying any unexpected security threats.
