Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc pays courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos
During his visit to Laos, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, leading a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos General Vilay Lakhamphon, on the afternoon of April 5, 2023.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphon expressed delight when welcoming Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and the delegation on the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of the Lao People's Public Security Forces and the Bunpimay festival of the nation.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc informed Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphon of results of the meeting on the morning of the same day between the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Lao Deputy Minister of Public Security Khamking Phuilamanyvong.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc also suggested strengthening cooperation between police forces of the two countries in controlling crime along the shared borderline, especially illicit drug trafficking and high-tech crime, investing cases related to citizens of a third country, building the Political Academy of the Lao People's Public Security, and implementing a project on National Population Database in Laos.
Also at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphon discussed in-depth security issues of mutual concern.
