Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc visits and presents gifts to the police of the Lao village group of Vangxai
Within the framework of the official visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc visited and presented gifts to police officers and soldiers in Vangxai village group, Xaysettha district, Vientiane capital, Laos, on the afternoon of January 11.
The delegation included Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in Laos Major General Phan Thanh Tuan, Director of the Department of Professional Technology Major General Tran Viet Kieu, Director of the Counter-Narcotics Police Department Major General Nguyen Van Vien, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, and other leaders of under-ministerial departments.
Deputy Minister of Public Security of Laos Lieutenant General Khamking Phuilamanivong, Director of the Vientiane Metropolitan Police Major General Buaphanh Phongmany, and police officers and soldiers from Xaysettha district and the Vangxai village group welcomed the Vietnamese delegation.
At the meeting, Major General Buaphanh Phongmany and Chief of the Vangxai Village Group Police Station Colonel Savang Kalo gave speeches, expressing their honor to receive leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of the two countries, and reported to the two Deputy Ministers and delegates the results of the task performances of the Vientiane Capital Police and the Vangxai village group police.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc congratulated the outstanding results and achievements of the Vientiane Capital Police as well as showed empathy for the difficulties and hardships of the grassroots police forces of the two countries.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc presented gifts from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to the Vientiane Capital Police, Xaysettha District Police and Vangxai Village Police.
* On the morning of the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam visited and presented Tet gifts to Vietnamese public security officers at the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security's representative office in Laos.
The Deputy Minister requested that the representative office of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in Laos continue to closely coordinate with the Lao Ministry of Public Security and local police forces.
* On the afternoon of January 11, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc visited and inspected the construction site of the Lao People's Public Security Academy of Politics.
He emphasized that this work is a symbol of the close relationship, affection and solidarity and brotherhood of the Ministry of Public Security of the two countries.
The Deputy Minister requested the leaders of functional departments under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos to regularly inspect and push up the construction while ensuring the quality.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc gave Tet gifts to encourage officials and workers working at the projects in Laos as well as officers and soldiers of the School of Political Theory of Ministry of Public Security of Laos.
Rector of the School of Political Theory Senior Colonel Saikhong Phetsavong expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for the thoughtfulness and affirmed that the headquarters of the Political Academy of the Lao People's Public Security Forces is an important work, contributing to the training of human resources of the country.
* During the business trip to Laos, on the same afternoon, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam also visited Deputy Minister of Public Security of Laos Lieutenant General Thonglek Mangnormek.
