Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc visits Dien Bien
Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 30 visited and worked with the Provincial Police Department of Dien Bien.
At the meeting with leaders of the Provincial Police Department, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc highlighted a number of key tasks that the provincial police should fulfil in the time to come.
They should focus on implementing the Government’s Project 06 on developing the application of population database, e-identification and e-authentication in national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period with a vision to 2030.
The provincial police force should effectively implement Plans 02 and 03 launched by the Counter-Narcotics Police Department on prevention and combat of drug-related crimes in the North-western provinces as well as pay attention to the implementation of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control and relevant guiding documents.
The deputy minister requested the local police to strictly manage drug addicts and suspected drug addicts.
More efforts are required to ensure state management of social order and prevention and combat of corruption, “black credit”, especially when many key national projects are being implemented in the province.
Earlier on the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and his working delegation visited and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the President’s memorial site and plant trees at the campus of the Provincial Police Department.
The delegation also worked with the authorities of Thanh Nua commune, Dien Bien district, visited and offered incense to war martyrs at the A1 National Martyr Cemetery.
