Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Thai Binh Provincial Police Department for dismantling large-scale drug trafficking line

PSNews - Recently, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter of commendation to the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department, praising the police department for breaking down a large-scale drug trafficking gang.

The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:

Over the past time, the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department has taken synchronous professional measures to discover and dismantle a large-scale transnational drug trafficking line from Laos and Son La to Thai Binh.

By now, the involved police forces have arrested 13 suspects and seized more than 43 kg of drugs and many other exhibits.

The elimination of the criminal group is an outstanding achievement of the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department in general and its Counter-Narcotics Police Division in particular, demonstrating their sharp professional expertise and high sense of responsibility in implementing directions of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating drug-related crime and transnational crime.

Their victory also contributed to cutting off drug supplies from other countries to Vietnam, deterring criminals, preventing crime, maintaining security and order and strengthening people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the local police for their victory.

The Deputy Minister requested the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department to expand the investigation of the case and early finish the documentation so as to prosecute all the accused in line with the laws.

The Deputy Minister wished the local police more success in performing their assigned tasks in the coming time.
