Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long receives delegation from Ministry of Justice of Thailand

Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long hosted a meeting with a delegation of the General Department of Prisons, Ministry of Justice of Thailand, led by Director General Ayuth Sintoppant, on the afternoon of June 20, 2023, in Hanoi.

In order to boost cooperation between the two sides in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long suggested, the two sides maintain exchange of delegations at all levels and strengthen ties between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of Thailand in the field of prison management and re-education of prisoners while effectively implementing the agreement on transfer of sentenced persons and cooperation in criminal judgment execution between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Thailand signed in 2010.

The two sides should also expand sharing of professional and practical experiences, especially in the field of criminal mutual legal assistance, including the transfer of sentenced persons.

For his part, Mr. Ayuth Sintoppant expressed his delight at the increasingly close relationship and effective cooperation in many fields between the two countries in general, between the Ministry of Justice of Thailand and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular. 

The General Director affirmed that he will do his best to promote the bilateral cooperation and relationship between the two sides.
