Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung promoted to Senior Lieutenant General
Member of the Politburo and President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, handed over a decision to promote Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung to Senior Lieutenant General from Lieutenant General on the afternoon of December 27th, at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.
Member of the Politburo and President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, handed over a decision to promote Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung to Senior Lieutenant General from Lieutenant General on the afternoon of December 27th, at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong congratulated Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung on his rank promotion, affirming that the promotion reflects the Party, State and people's recognition of the important contributions of Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung to the Party, the State and the Public Security Forces, as well as the deep trust in the Deputy Minister of the Party, State leaders and the People.
The President requested Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung to continue to uphold the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Public Security Forces, foster revolutionary ethics, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people.
He pledged to uphold and maintain revolutionary qualities, continuously self-study and self-train, and stand side by side with the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to lead the Public Security Forces to successfully fulfill the missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety, for the people’s peaceful and happy life.
* On the same afternoon, under the authority of the President, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang handed over the President’s decision to promote Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Ngoc Lam to Lieutenant General from Major General.
