Reporting on the results of the first 10 months of 2022, a representative of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department stated that, since the beginning of 2022, the local police forces have focused on ensuring security and order in the city; as a result, the security and order situation in Hanoi has been stable, contributing to the city’s socio-economic recovery.Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister To showed his agreement with the work plan of the city police for the remaining months of the year, and underlined a number of tasks that need to be implemented by the local police.

Particularly, the Hanoi Municipal Police Department should enhance force building while Party committees of local police units at all levels should pay attention to Party building and political and ideological education for Party members, officers and soldiers.

Regarding Crime control, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the local police forces to drastically combat criminal offences, eliminate criminal gangs, organized crime groups, criminal offences involving foreigners.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the local police should regularly review, update and maintain the effective operation of the National Population Database, ensuring information, share its applications and maximize its efficiency, contributing to reforming administrative procedures, building e-Government, digital economy and digital society and fight against crime.
