Dien Bien Provincial Police Department receives Third Class Military Merit Medal
Authorized by the President, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc awarded the Third Class Military Merit Medal to the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department on January 3, 2023, on the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the provincial police force (January 10, 1953 - January 10, 2023).
Authorized by the President, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc awarded the Third Class Military Merit Medal to the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department on January 3, 2023, on the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the provincial police force (January 10, 1953 - January 10, 2023).
Over the years, the local police have actively grasped, forecasted the situation, and advised the province to lead the work of ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, which has made an important contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.
The local police also focused on force building, especially building capacity of police officers and soldiers working at grassroots levels, and mobilized people living in key areas, border, deep-lying and remote areas to participate in safeguarding national security and maintaining public order and safety.
In their fight against crimes, the local police successfully disbanded groups of criminals and deny hostile forces from conducting sabotage activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc praised police forces in Dien Bien for their achievements in recent years, and said that the local police have beautified the glorious and heroic history of the People's Public Security Forces.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that issues related to non-traditional security, cyber security, energy security, climate change, natural disasters and epidemics are likely to rise while the crime situation will still be complicated, so the local police’s tasks of safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety will become heavier.
The deputy minister encouraged the local police to create a digital working environment and take advantage of the benefits of the fourth science and technology revolution and digital transformation.
