February 21 recognized as Traditional Day of the South Battlefield Reinforced Police Force
In a joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting, on the morning of February 21, to announce a decision by the Minister of Public Security to recognize February 21, 1962, as the Traditional Day of the South Battlefield Reinforced Police Force.
In a joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting, on the morning of February 21, to announce a decision by the Minister of Public Security to recognize February 21, 1962, as the Traditional Day of the South Battlefield Reinforced Police Force.
At the meeting, Minister To Lam presented the decision to representatives of the police force sent to the Southern battlefield during the national resistance war against the US.
On this occasion, to commend the merits and gratitude to the supporting police officers, the Public Security Central Party Committee presented the banner "FIRM, INDOMINATABILE, SMART, COURAGEOUS", flowers and gifts to delegates of the South battlefield reinforced police force.
The Ministry of Public Security also awarded Certificates of Merit to two goups and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements while the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also offered flowers and gifts to them.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam expressed his gratitude to those who heroically sacrificed for national independence, freedom of the Fatherland, for the peaceful and happy life of the people, including police officers.
The Minister underlined, the great merits, contributions and sacrifices of the People's Public Security Forces in the national resistance war against the US will forever be the pride and priceless spiritual assets of our nation.
Current public security officers always remember the gratitude of the police officers who have heroically fought enemies, sled their blood and sacrificed their lives in the fight for national liberation as well as for the curent cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
