General To Lam meets voters in Hung Yen province
Minister of Public Security and the National Assembly deputy of Hung Yen province General To Lam met with voters in My Hao town, Hung Yen province prior to the 5th sitting of the 15th National Assembly, on the afternoon of May 4, 2023.
Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Huu Nghia, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van, and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee and National Assembly deputy of Hung Yen province Doan Thi Thanh also join the event.
At the meeting with voters, Head of the Information and Education Department of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and National Assembly deputy of Hung Yen province Dao Hong Van informed local voters of the agenda for the next sitting of the 15th National Assembly and the results of the responses to the voters' opinions at the voter meeting after the 4th sitting.
Voters of My Hao town proposed to the Hung Yen National Assembly Delegation a number of issues, including cyber fraud and appropriation of property, cyber security, the investigation and trial of a number of cases under the supervision of the Anti-Corruption Central Steering Committee, fraud in insurance, and the wrongdoings in upgrading and rebuilding houses along the Bac Hung Hai river dike.
Speaking at the voter meeting, General To Lam appreciated the opinions and ideas of voters in My Hao town, and affirmed that all aspirations of the local voters will be conveyed to the National Assembly, the Government, relevant ministries, branches and central agencies, and the results will be reported to people.
General To Lam informed local voters of the law projects that the Ministry of Public Security is going to submit to the 5th sitting of the National Assembly, saying that the Ministry of Public Security is one of the ministries and branches that submits the most bills to the National Assembly.
According to him, the Ministry of Public Security has and is submitting 05 bills: (1) Law on Forces Participating in Maintaining Security and Order At the Grassroots Level; (2) Law on Identity; (3) Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; (4) The Law Amending a Number of Articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam; (5) Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles to the Law on People's Public Security Forces.
General To Lam asked voters to pay attention to and contribute ideas for the Ministry of Public Security to complete the law projects and submit them to the National Assembly for promulgation.
General To Lam affirmed that he would work with the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption on methods to further improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption work in general and investigation and handling of corruption and negative cases under the supervision of the Central Steering Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee in particular.
