Hau Giang Provincial Police Department hands over compassion house to poor Khmer student’s family
PSNews - Recently, the Hau Giang Provincial Police Department organized an inaugural ceremony to hand over a “August 19 House” to 3-grade student Danh Thi Thu Hong from a poor family of the Khmer in Luong Nghia commune, Long My district.
Her family’s house was seriously downgraded, but they couldn’t afford to repair or build a new one.
Within the framework of the “Green Marching” Voluntary Campaign, the Youth Union chapter of the Hau Giang Provincial Police Department proposed leaders of the Hau Giang Provincial Police Department to raise funds among local police officers and give the proceeds to Hong’s family to build a new house.
The handover of the compassion house is coincided with the celebration of the 79th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2024) and the 19th anniversary of the “All people protecting national security” Festival (August 19, 2005 – 2024).
