Internal political security force should not let be in a disadvantage

PSNews - The Department of Internal Political Security under the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to summarize the sector’s work in 2023 and roll out its work pland for 2024 in January, in Hanoi.

In 2023, under the direct leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Department of Internal Political Security successfully completed the sector’s yearly work plan, made large achievements at work and reached all targets assigned by the Ministry of Public Security.

The unit proactively grasped the situation, promptly advised higher-level authorities on solutions to complex internal political security issues, and effectively handled emerging issues early regarding internal political security, cultural and ideological security, information security and State secret.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang awards the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to two officers.

Therefore, the domestic political security situation in the country was stable last year, making an important contribution to firmly protecting national security, promoting socio-economic development and international integration.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the Department of Internal Political Security to attach importance to building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern internal political security force so as to achieve the goal of ensuring internal political security in 2024 and the following years.

The Deputy Minister also requested Department of Internal Political Security to always thoroughly grasp the internal political security situation so as to advise leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on suitable efficient solutions to related issues while continuously renovating working methods to improve the quality of the force’s task accomplishment.

The force should also always take the initiative, not letting the country be put in a disadvantage or strategic surprise.
