It is needed to combine Party building and force building

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To attended and delivered a keynote speech at a conference to review the results of the task performance in 2022 and deploy orientations for tasks in 2023 of the Department of Party and Political Work, on the afternoon of December 21, 2022, in Hanoi.

In 2022, despite the a big organizational reshuffle, leaders and the staff the Party and Political Work Department united and made great effort to complete the work program.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the Department of Party and Political Work for its achievements in 2022.

Regarding a number of key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested that the Party and Political Work Department realize the Resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the directive of the Ministry of Public Security on the tasks of the Public Security Forces, the instructions given by the Minister of Public Security at the 78th National Public Security Conference on the building of really clean, strong, regular, elite and modernized People's Public Secuirty Forces.

The department should also serve as a think-tank to advise the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on approaches to effectively roll out and implement the guidelines of the Party and State on Party and political work, build both political will and professional capacity of public security officers, and encourage leaders of Party committees and units at all levels to set good examples for their Party members and junior officers.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that the department should also focus on conducting cultural and artistic programs, mass mobilization activities, emulation movements and commendation work. 

At the event, under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To awarded the Third-class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Party and Political Work Department. He also awarded the Second-class Fatherland Protection Medal and the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to several former leaders of the unit.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To presented the Certificates of Merit to officers with outstanding achievements in recent times.
