Kien Giang Police reviews performance of tasks

The Kien Giang Provincial Police Department held the 57th Provincial Police Conference, on the morning of January 3, 2023, to review the local police’s task performance in 2022 and roll out the work plan for 2023.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Do Thanh Binh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Mai Van Huynh.

Reports at the meeting read, in 2022, the Kien Giang Provincial Police made great efforts, organized the drastic implementation of solutions to ensure security and order in the area. The police force has organized a peak attack and crime suppression; investigating and uncovering particularly serious cases; patrol and control traffic safety; fire protection; manage weapons, explosives, support tools... achieve high results.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung recognized, praised and congratulated the achievements of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department in 2022.

The Deputy Minister suggested that the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department thoroughly grasp and effectively implement instructions of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Security given at the 78th National Public Security Conference as well as the Resolution of the Public Security Central Party Committee on the tasks of the Public Security Forces in 2023 and other regular directions of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee People of Kien Giang province on the task of ensuring order and security in the province. 

The local police should actively grasp and exactly forecast the security situation in the province’s borderlines, sea and islands, strengthen relations and cooperation with their Cambodian partners in managing the shared border and fighting all kinds of crimes on the borderline, and be ready to effectively respond to non-traditional security threats.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department should set a target of sustainably reducing the crime rate in the province, contributing to creating a safe and secure environment for tourism and socio-economic development, as well as peace and happiness for the people.
