Lao police delegation from Xaisomboun province visit Bac Giang province
A delegation from the Xaisomboun Provincial Public Security Department (Laos), led by Deputy Director Colonel Inpan Nhattivong, officially visited Bac Giang province (Vietnam), on the morning of July 27.
Present at the meeting were Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Director Senior Colonel Do Duc Trinh, and other leaders of local police units.
Since 2021, after Bac Giang province and Xaisomboun province signed a cooperation agreement, the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Giang province have always maintained the friendly relationship, contributing to bolstering unity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Over the past years, the two sides have actively drawn up cooperation plans and effectively implemented them with a focus on cooperation activities, delegation exchange and information sharing. Within the framework, police forces of the two sides also strengthened cooperation and coordination.
On May 30, 2022, the Bac Giang Provincial Police Department and Xaisomboun Provincial Public Security Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding on twinning relationship and cooperation in the presence of leaders of the two provinces.
The establishment of the relationship between the two provinces’ police forces marked an important milestone in cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
Speaking at the meeting, Colonel In Pan Yattivong expressed his sincere thanks to the host for the thoughtful and respectful welcome, and said that the visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the police forces of the two provinces, evaluate cooperation results and jointly work out a cooperation plan for the coming time.
*Also in the morning, the Lao police delegation visited the Security Surveillance Camera Center of the Bac Giang Provincial Police Department. After that, the sides had a meeting to discuss the situation and exchange experiences in ensuring security and order and building the provincial-level police force.
