On the morning of August 27th, the Lao delegation had a meeting with the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department. Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Bui Quang Binh hosted a welcoming meeting for the Lao delegation.

At the meeting, leaders of the two police departments briefed each other on the socio-economic development situation in each province and work results of the two police departments over the past time.

The two police leaders wished that, in the coming time, the two sides continue to enhance delegation exchange as well as share hands-on experiences in ensuring security and order, contributing to tightening the special friendship between governments and people of the two provinces.

On this occasion, the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department offered funding to the Vientiane Provincial Police Department in support of the renovation of its hall of fame.

On the same afternoon, the Lao delegation had talks with the host police department.

At the talks, the two sides shared their creative and effective approaches to enhance the quality of their task performances, especially safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety, managing foreigner residency.

They underscored measures to preventing and combating crimes, particularly transnational crimes, organized crimes, drug-related crimes, high-tech crimes, human trafficking, as well as building the “All people protecting national security” movement, force building, logistics and technical work.

At the end of the talks, the two police departments signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Within the framework of the visit to the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department, the Lao delegation also had a field trip to have a look on the training work of the host police department.
