Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee on August 4 worked on key projects invested in by the Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi.

Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam,  and Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, co-chaired the meeting.

The event also saw the presence of Major General Le Van Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and representatives from units under the MPS, Vice Chairmen of Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Trong Dong and Duong Duc Tuan, and leaders of several departments and local authorities of Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, General To Lam thanked the Municipal People’s Committee of Hanoi for their support for the projects  the MPS invests in the city. The minister noted that the coordination between the two sides should be strengthened in the coming time, contributing to raising effectiveness and progress of the projects. Minister To Lam also briefed participants in the meeting on issues related to natural resources and environment, which had affected the project implementation.

Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen reported on the projects that the MPS is implementing in the city and proposed Hanoi’s authorities to make plans on land for national security and defense purposes.

Vice Chairmen of Hanoi People's Committee and representatives of departments, branches and districts of Hanoi discussed solutions and agreed to allocate land  and fund for the MPS-invested projects.

Chairman Tran Sy Thanh highlighted the significance of planning land for national defense and security. He believed that the meeting was useful for the municipal authorities as well as the city’s planning sector.

Concluding the meeting, Minister To Lam spoke highly of the coordination of the two sides over the past time, especially in planning and implementing important projects related to security and national defense.
