Minister Luong Tam Quang hosts representative from Cuban Ministry of the Interior
Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang hosted a meeting with representative of the Cuban Ministry of the Interior in Vietnam Virgilio Lázaro Lora Quesada, on the afternoon of August 12th, in Hanoi.
Welcoming comrade Virgilio Lázaro Lora Quesada to Vietnam, Minister Luong Tam Quang wished him success in his working tenure in Vietnam, and hoped that he will further promote the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam (MPS) and the Cuban Ministry of the Interior in particular and between the two countries in general.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang underlined that the relations between the two ministries was established in 1966, and since then bilateral cooperation has been expanded in all fields in the spirit of openess, mutual trust and support.
The host highlighted that, over the past time, the two sides have exchanged many high-ranking and expert-level delegations. Accordingly, MPS has sent delegations of experts to Cuba to assist the Caribbean country in addressing cybersecurity incidents, as well as instruct the Cuban peers to operate modern fire prevention and fighting equipment, while the Cuban side has sent medical experts to Vietnam to share valuable experiences with MPS doctors.
Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that, in the coming time, the two sides should further promote cooperation in the fields of security, policing, logistics - technology and healthcare, enhance high-level and expert-level delegation exchange as well as support each other at multilateral forums, especially meetings on counter-terrorism and illegal immigration.
Sincerely thanking Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting, representative of the Cuban Ministry of the Interior in Vietnam Virgilio Lázaro Lora Quesada affirmed that the Cuban Ministry of the Interior always attaches great importance to promoting the friendly and good cooperative relationship with MPS.
Comrade Virgilio Lázaro Lora Quesada pledged that, during his tenure in Vietnam, he will spare no effort to tighten the bilateral ties between the two countries in general and the two ministries in commensurate with the special friendship between the two countries.
Comrade Virgilio Lázaro Lora Quesada took the occasion to convey the invitation to visit Cuba in the coming time from Cuban Minister of the Interior Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas to Minister Luong Tam Quang.
