Minister Luong Tam Quang promoted to General rank
Party General Secretary and President To Lam, Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, handed over a decision to promote Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang to General from Senior Lieutenant General on the afternoon of October 20th, at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated General Luong Tam Quang on his rank promotion, affirming that the promotion reflects the Party, State and people's deep trust in the minister as well as the recognition of the important contributions of General Luong Tam Quang to the cause of building and developing the Public Security Forces as well as to the cause of national development and defence.
The General Secretary and President requested General Luong Tam Quang to continue to uphold the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Public Security Forces, foster revolutionary ethics, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang expressed his thanks to the Party, the State, the People for granting the great honor to him, las well as the central ministries, branches, agencies, the Public Security Party Central Committee, the Party Committees and authorities of localities and generations of public security officers and enlistees for their great support, helping him accomplish his assigned tasks.
General Luong Tam Quang pledged to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, people, Party and State that he will always strive for the interests of the nation and people, uphold and maintain revolutionary qualities, continuously self-study and self-train, and stand side by side with the leadership of the Public Security Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to successfully fulfill the missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.
