Minister Luong Tam Quang urges FedEx to boost logistics, aviation security cooperation
Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang hosted a meeting with Managing Director of Government and Corporate Affairs for FedEx in Asia, Middle East and Africa and Chairman of the Travel and Tourism Committee of the US – ASEAN Business Council (USABC) Choo Pin Ang and FedEx Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia Bianca Wong, on the afternoon of March 17, in Hanoi.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang highlighted remarkable developments in Vietnam-U.S. relations in recent years, which have specially been marked by the recent elevation of the bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Further, the two countries are about to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Minister affirmed that MPS is committed to supporting and facilitating U.S. businesses, including FedEx, to invest and do business efficiently in Vietnam, adding that, through various dialogue mechanisms, such as USABC, the Vietnamese Government and MPS frequently listen to and carefully consider the recommendations of U.S. businesses with the aim of promoting a transparent, stable and sustainable investment environment in Vietnam.
Minister Luong Tam Quang noted that the meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both sides to discuss cooperation directions in the areas of mutual interest, particularly aviation security, development of logistics infrastructure for the aviation sector, and the modernization of Vietnam’s airport facilities, saying that these efforts would contribute to ensuring the security and safety of global supply chains.
In the coming time, Minister Luong Tam Quang wished that FedEx would continue contributing actively to promoting bilateral trade and enhancing cooperation in aviation security with Vietnamese partners including MPS, stressing that such collaboration would support Vietnam’s goal of becoming a key logistics hub in ASEAN and the broader Asia region.
Congratulating Vietnam on its remarkable socio-economic achievements in recent years, FedEx Managing Director Choo Pin Ang reaffirmed the corporation's long-term commitment to contributing to Vietnam’s economic growth and the development of its transportation industry.
The FedEx representative stated that the company will effectively maintain its operation at Vietnam’s airports while actively coordinating with Vietnamese authorities to expand cooperation in the areas of mutual interest and in the areas that FedEx has much expertise in, contributing to effectively boosting bilateral trade and further deepening the Vietnam-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
