Minister of Public Security extends New Year wishes to all public security officers and the ranks.
On the occasion of the New Year 2024 and the Lunar New Year, General To Lam, Member of Politburo and Minister of Public Security, sends a New Year letter, extending the warmest regards and best wishes to all public security officers, students, non-commissioned officers, civilian officials and the ranks as well as retired officers, wounded officers, relatives of fallen officers who used to work in the Public Security Forces. Thanks to the sound leadership of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the effective support of the whole political system and the people, the Public Security Forces in collaboration with ministries, branches, functional agencies, especially the Vietnam People's Army, have successfully accomplished all assigned tasks. The Public Security Forces also took the lead in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions of the Party Central Committee and Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW promulgated on dated March 16, 2022, by the Politburo on enhancing the building of truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements in the new situation.
During the year of 2023, the Public Security Forces always proactively grasped the situation, prevented plots and sabotage activities by hostile and reactionary forces, curbed the increase in crime, ensured social order and safety, contributing to firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national interests, maintaining political and social stability, peace and security effectively in support of the country's economic, cultural, social development and foreign affairs.
Further, Public Security Forces took the lead in national digital transformation, administrative reforms, streamlining of the forces’ organizational structure by eliminating intermediary agencies while building the communal police force capable of solving the security and order issues from the grassroots level.
Last year, the Public Security Forces promoted foreign relation activities and strengthened the forces’ position as one of the pillars in Vietnam’s foreign relation sector, effectively contributing to raising the Vietnam Public Security Forces’ image and status in the international arena.
In short, a number of public security officers have become bright examples at work, in study and life, and their good deeds in life and achievements at work and study have been recognized by the Party, State and people as well as international friends.
The year of 2024 marks the fourth year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress, as well as the year to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Public Security Forces’ Founding Day (August 19, 1945 - 2025).
In a joyful spirit of welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, every public security unit and every public security officer need to follow Uncle Ho’s Six Teachings and regularly study, self-study to improve their capacity and knowledge so as to complete the honorable tasks assigned by the Party, the State, the Government, the National Assembly, the Public Security Central Party Committee, Ministry of Public Security and the people. effectively implement Resolutions and Directives of the higher levels.
