Minister To Lam attends opening ceremony of new school year at People's Security Academy

Minister of Public Security General To Lam Dr., Prof., attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

Addressing the event, Director of the People's Security Academy Lieutenant General Le Van Thang said, the school year 2021 - 2022 took place in the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, but the school successfully organized the enrollment and implemented educational and training programs as planned.

In the past year, the school also focused on scientific research projects and topics, and several were finished and highly valued by researchers inside and outside the Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister To Lam highly appreciated the effort and achievements of the school’s leadership, managers, teaching staff, workers and students in the past school year.

Regarding major tasks of the school in the 2022 – 2023 academic year, Minister To Lam requested that the school should continue to thoroughly grasp and successfully fulfill all guidelines, policies and directions of the Party, the State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training.

Its leadership and staff should well comprehend that investment in education and training is to create high-quality human resources to realize the goal of building regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces in line with Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo.

The school should als focus on completing the project on development of the People's Security Academy by 2030.

* On the same day, Minister To Lam also attended the opening ceremony of a refresher course for department-level leaders at the People’s Security Academy, who would be updated on new knowledge. Right after the opening ceremony, General To Lam Dr., Prof., gave a lecture to the trainees of the course.
