Minister To Lam receives Japanese Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare
Minister of Public Security of Vietnam General To Lam received Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan Kato Katsunobu, on the afternoon of May 5, 2023, in Hanoi.
Welcoming Minister Kato Katsunobu and a delegation of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to Vietnam, Minister To Lam highlighted the positive developments in Vietnam-Japan relations in all fields of politics, economy, security and defense on the basis of the similarities and interests of the two countries.
The host emphasized that Vietnam consistently considers Japan as a reliable, foremost and long-term strategic partner, sharing many common strategic interests.
On the basis of recent good results of medical relations between the two countries, Minister To Lam proposed that the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare expand cooperation with the Health Department and Hospitals of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the field of medicine and health care.
He expressed hope that the Japanese side will transfer its new and modern technologies to the medical sector of the Ministry of Public Security, provide training programs for Vietnamese public security medical workers, and share experience in military medicine, medical examination and treatment with Vietnamese public security medical workers.
For his part, Japanese Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kato Katsunobu expressed his pleasure at the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and relevant Japanese agencies, and affirmed that he will support to promote cooperation between the two ministries, contributing to further strengthening Vietnam - Japan relations.
