Minister To Lam receives JICA leaders
PSNews - Minister of Public Security General To Lam received incoming Chief of JICA in Vietnam Sugano Yuichi and outgoing Chief of JICA in Vietnam Akira Shimizu, on the morning of March 27, in Hanoi.
At the meeting, Minister To Lam suggested that JICA continue to boost cooperation between the Vietnamese Public Security Forces and the relevant Japanese agencies in the fields that the Japanese side has strengths and the Vietnamese side needs such as high technology, digital transformation, equipment and means of anti-terrorism, means for coastal law enforcement and fire and rescue.
He also expressed hope that JICA will further offer personnel training courses and aid to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. Minister To Lam affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security, with its functions and duties, is committed to working closely with JICA in ensuring security and safety for events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as forJapanese citizens and businesses in Vietnam.
Sincerely thanking Minister To Lam for the warm meeting, the newly-appointed JICA Chief affirmed that he will do his best, make positive and effective contributions to promoting the relationship between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and JICA as well as the traditional friendly relationship between the two countries.
