Minister To Lam receives outgoing ambassador of Laos
Minister of Public Security General To Lam received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang, who paid a farewell visit to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam as he ended his term of office in the country, on the afternoon of September 7, in Hanoi.
At the meeting, Minister To Lam stated that the ambassdor had contributed largely to the achievements in promoting relations and cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos in recent years.
As the representative of the State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang, along with relevant ministries and branches, proactively advised the Party and Government of Laos and Vietnam on implementing cooperation agreements and especially sought to improve the quality and efficiency of the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Minister To Lam also affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and he himself strongly believes that Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang will always devote his whole heart and mind to the cause of Laos’ national development, as well as foster the traditional special friendship, great solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, in any working position that the Lao Party, Government and people entrust to him in the future.
Sincerely thanking Minister To Lam for the meeting, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang affirmed that he will do his best to strengthen the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam in general, between the Ministry of Public Security of Laos and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular.
He wished, the special relationship between the two Parties, States, peoples and Public Security Forces of Laos and Vietnam would be forever green, eternal and sustainable.
