Minister To Lam receives outgoing Head of the EU Diplomatic Corps to Vietnam
PSNews - Minister of Public Security General To Lam received Head of the Diplomatic Corps of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, on June 30, in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti on his successful term of office in Vietnam, and contributed positively to Vietnam - EU relations.
The host expressed his hope that, after returning home, regardless of his working position, the ambassador will continue to make positive contributions to promoting the Vietnam - EU cooperation relations.
Minister To Lam emphasized that the Ministry of Public Security highly appreciated Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti's contribution to establishing and developing cooperation and relations between Vietnam and the EU in the field of security and law enforcement.
Arcordingly, the two sides have maintained regular meetings of the Defense - Security Dialogue since 2019, strengthened cooperation in implementing the sustainable development goals and the UN agenda to 2030, and coordinate to organize seminars, training courses, consultations and exchanges on expertise in the field of cybersecurity, law enforcement.
Sincerely thanking Minister To Lam for the meeting, Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti underscored that, in recent years, the cooperation and relationship between the EU and Vietnam has developed strongly in all fields.
The ambassador affirmed, with his responsibility as well as personal feelings for Vietnam, he will do his best to promote friendship and cooperation between the EU and Vietnam, after returning home to undertake a new working position.
