Minister To Lam receives senior official of JICA
Minister of Public Security General To Lam received Director General of Southeast Asia and Pacific Department under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hayakawa Yuho, on December 14, 2022, in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Mr. Hayakawa Yuho on his appointment as Director of the Department of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, JICA, and stated that the relationship between Vietnam and Japan is developing substantively and comprehensively in many aspects, such as economic connectivity, human resource development, science and technology, supply chain.
The Minister affirmed that the practical and comprehensive cooperation in all fields between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and JICA is making an important contribution to the development of the entire relationship between the two countries.
He said, the project to improve the capacity of the Vietnamese fire and rescue police force and the project to provide patrol boats for the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam are of great significance, helping raise Vietnam’s law enforcement capacity and Public Security Forces’ ability to ensure security and social order.
The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is committed to closely coordinate with JICA in ensuring the security and safety of the headquarters and JICA employees living and working in Vietnam while creating favorable conditions for JICA staff as well as Japanese citizens to live, work, travel and study in Vietnam.
Mr. Hayakawa Yuho sincerely thanked Minister To Lam for the meeting, and expressed delight that the relationship between the two countries is developing strongly in all fields.
He pledged that he will continue to do his utmost to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and JICA, contributing to the development of the relationship between the two countries.
