Minister To Lam visits fire and rescue force of Dong Da District Police Station
PSNews - On the occasion of the 61st founding anniversary of the Fire and Rescue Police Force (October 4, 1961), Minister of Public Security General To Lam visited and congratulated the Fire and Rescue Police Squad of the Dong Da District Police Station, Hanoi, on the afternoon of October 3.
With the determination to minimize the risk of fire and explosion in the district, the Dong Da District Police Station advised the District People's Committee and the District Fire Prevention Steering Committee to issue and direct local forces to implement various documents on fire prevention and fighting.
Particularly, the local police deployed and promoted the model "Residential areas and streets prepared for firefighting and rescue," established a steering committee to build the model "Household safe from fire in accordance with the “four on-spot forces” motto," effectively implemented the model "Inter-family firefighting group and public firefighting point," and set up patrol groups to warn and monitor fire incidents inwards.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam showed empathy for the fire and rescue police force in Dong Da district, which still had lots of difficulties in performing their duty.
He stressed that fire prevention and fighting work has a very important position in the cause of ensuring security and order.
Over the past 61 years, the Party, State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security have always paid due attention to the fire and rescue force, and issued a large number of guidelines, policies and laws related to fire and rescue as well as taken good care of material and spiritual lives of fire and rescue police officers.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the minister emphasized that each fire and rescue police officer should be fully aware of the position, role, nature and importance of fire prevention and fighting work so they should seek to minimize fire and explosion incidents and the loss of people’s lives and assets in fire and explosion.
On behalf of the Hanoi police force, Director of the City Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung thanked the minister for his thoughtfulness of the city’s fire and rescue force, and promised that the city’s fire and rescue force will overcome difficulties and effectively perform the duty, contributing to building a civilized capital city safe from fire and explosion.
