Minister To Lam works with leaders of Economic Security Department

Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam hosted a working session with the Party Committee of the Economic Security Department on September 15.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Economic Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Dinh Thuan reported on the situation in the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security, stating that the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security always followed resolutions and directions of the Party and State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, particularly Resolution No. 22 of the Politburo, in re-organize the Security Department.

The Party committee also promoted the spirit of democratic centralism in meetings and performing duties while strengthening internal solidarity.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam praised the effort and achievements of the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security in recent years, stressing that the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security led the entire economic security force to successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.

Regarding to its tasks in the coming time, Minister To Lam asked the Party Committee of the Department of Economic Security to uphold the sense of responsibility, solidarity, make special effort to overcome difficulties, and enhance Party building and force building. 

It should also effectively realize resolutions and directives of the Party, State and Public Security Central Party Committee and instructions of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on ensuring national security and maintaining economic security the current context. 

The Party committee should actively grasp, analyze and exactly forecast the situation so as to give higher-level authorities good advice, measures and countermeasures to prevent and defeat all sabotage plots and activities by hostile forces as well as to control crimes in the economic field.
