Ministry of Public Security celebrates Law Day

The Ministry of Public Security solemnly held a ceremony in celebration of the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Law Day) in 2022, on November 3, in Hanoi.

The meeting, which was organized virtually connecting delegates from the Grand Hall of the Ministry of Public Security and those from the headquarters of provincial-level police departments, was hosted by Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam acknowledged and praised the results and achievements that under-ministerial agencies and local police units have achieved in popularizing laws and conducting public law education drives over the past 10 years.

He also took the chance to thank Central agencies, ministries, branches, socio-political organizations, as well as local authorities at all levels, press agencies and media for great support and coordination with the People's Public Security Forces in enforcing and complying with laws.

 Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung presents Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to units and officers with outstanding achievements in conducting law dissemination and public legal education or drafting legal documents.

In order to further promote the role and practical meaning of the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Minister To Lam requested the Party committee and heads of all public security agencies and units to take the responsibility for research and development of legal documents relating to the forces, ensuring the consistency, feasibility and unity with the current legal system.

The Minister also underscored the importance of the celebration of Law Day, saying that agencies and units should consider it as a political activity, reminding all public security officers, soldiers and people to thoroughly understand and strictly abide by the laws.
