Ministry of Public Security discusses inspection activities in Public Security Forces

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Ass. Prof., Dr., chaired the workshop "Improving the legal documents on the Public Security Forces’ inspection sector," on September 19, 2023, in Hanoi.

The workshop focused on discussing the Public Security Forces’ inspection sector’s organization and activities, including the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the People's Public Security Forces’ inspection sector as well as the posting of inspection officers to public security units without inspection bodies, and the authority of the chief Inspectors at all levels in the People's Public Security Forces. 

At the meeting, delegates discussed the need to define contents and subjects as well as the special functions and missions of the inspection sector under the Ministry of Public Security, and proposed to include them in a decree of the Government to create a legal basis for the public security inspection sector to perform its task of carrying our inspection activities in the People's Public Security Forces in the coming time.

Making remarks at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate with the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative and Judicial Reforms and other public security agencies and units to urgently advise the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to review the implementation of the Law on Inspection in the People's Public Security Forces in the past 12 years to discuss the results achieved, problems, difficulties, and causes and effects, and draw lessons from real inspection activities.
