Ministry of Public Security drafting degree on amending previous decrees on the use of household registration books
The Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on the afternoon of November 1, in Hanoi, to discuss the draft decree on amending and supplementing 19 decrees related to the use of the printed household registration book and printed temporary residence book in performing administrative procedures and public services.

Standing Deputy of the Working Group on Project 06 and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc chaired the conference.
At the meeting, delegates focused discussion on the following contents: the scope of amending and supplementing 19 decrees in the draft decree on regulations related to the use of printed household registration books and printed temporary residence books when carrying out administrative procedures; the contents that need to be amended and supplemented to ensure that the currently-drafted decree with amendments and supplements to the previous decrees on the use of printed household registration books and printed temporary residence books can take effect from January 1, 2023.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that the drafting of the decree amending and supplementing the 19 decrees related to the use of presented household registration books and printed paper temporary residence books in performing administrative procedures and public services is essential to the implementation of the Law on Residence as it will create the most favorable conditions for people when carrying out administrative procedures and doing civil and economic transactions, as well as contributing to the implementation of Project 06.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative and Judicial Reform cooperate with other relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security collect and carefully study all opinions from delegates at the meeting to complete the draft decree to ensure its constitutionality, legality and consistency with the current legal system.
