Ministry of Public Security holds national-level symposium on Party building
The Central Public Security Party Committee in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy held a national-level scientific symposium themed "Actively preventing, effectively holding back and resolutely fighting manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" among cadres and Party members of the People's Public Security Forces".
Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security General To Lam Prof., Dr., and Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang co-chaired the meeting.
Present at the seminar were also Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee for External Relations Le Hoai Trung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr.,; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang,; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet; Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen Dr.,; and other high-ranking officials and scientists.
Speaking at the opening session, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang stated, “Today's scientific symposium is an opportunity for scientists, researchers, and delegates to exchange ideas, discussed the role of the People's Public Security Forces in the work of building and rectifying the Party, the results of the People's Public Security Forces in building a truly clean and comprehensively strong Party organization as well as in building a clean and strong force."
"It is also a chance for delegates and scientists to propose measures to prevent, hold back and strictly handle cadres and Party members with degraded political ideology, morality and lifestyle and those who have manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”, he affirmed.
"Finally, delegates and scientists are expected to provide additional practical and scientific arguments, key tasks, and breakthroughs, contributing to effectively implementing resolutions on Party building and rectification, particularly Conclusion 21 of the 13th Public Security Central Party Committee on building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces in line with the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress", he said.
