Ministry of Public Security plans to build 1,200 houses for poor households in Soc Trang

The Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province held a ceremony on June 18, 2023, in Dai Tam commune, My Xuyen district (Soc Trang province) to offer model houses and funding for the construction of houses for needy local households.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Soc Trang province hand over letters of thanks to units participating in the project to build houses for the poor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang said, since the beginning of June 2023, the Ministry of Public Security and local authorities have directed relevant police and civilian units to study a project to build models of homes in the locality as well as approaches to implement the project. 

Accordingly, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang has also assigned the Economic Security Department and the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department to closely coordinate with the local authorities to build 1,200 houses for local people with housing difficulty by September 2, 2023.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang thanked benefactors and donors for their contributions to the project, and congratulated households on their new homes. Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang wished that, with their new homes, people would stablize their lives and try their best to escape poverty as well as contribute positively to local order and security.
