Ministry of Public Security review results of digital transformation

Minister To Lam is also Head of the Steering Committee on Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Public Security.

On October 5, 2022, the Ministry of Public Security established the Steering Committee on Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Public Security with membership of all ministry leaders and heads of 12 relevant agencies under the Ministry.

The Steering Committee has issued Operational Regulations, giving assignments and responsibilities to Steering Committee members in an effort to step up digital transformation in all public security agencies and units.

The Ministry of Public Security has determined that the Public Security Forces start to mainly work in an electronic working environment and carry out comprehensive digital transformation of all working aspects in 2024.

To achieve the set goal, on February 6, 2024, the Ministry of Public Security issued Decision No. 829/QD-BCD on implementing the Steering Committee's 2024 Action Plan with 71 tasks, including 20 regular tasks and 51 scheduled tasks.

During the discussion session, under the chair of Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, delegates evaluated the initial results of the implementation of the tasks set out in the 2024 Work Plan of the Steering Committee, pointed out limitation in implementing tasks, and discussed measures to further implement tasks.

Concluding the meeting, Minister To Lam requested that the Steering Committee on Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Public Security act more strongly and decisively, bringing into full play the role of a member of the Steering Committee of the Ministry to lead the Public Security Forces to complete the work plans and reach all the set objectives, contributing positively to promoting national digital transformation.
