The Ministry of Public Security held a briefing conference to evaluate the security situation in the country and work results of the Public Security Forces in April, and roll out the general work plan for May 2024, on the afternoon of April 25th, in Hanoi.

Delivering the monthly general report at the conference, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security Major General Dang Hong Duc released that the Ministry of Public Security actively advised the Party and State leaders on policies regarding international issues, socio-economic development, public order and security as well as national interests.

According to the report, the nationwide police attained large achievements in prevention and fight against crimes, while a number of serious criminal cases were quickly investigated and cleared and a number of transnational organized crime rings were destroyed, contributing to creating good public opinion among the people.

At the discussion session, under the chair of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, delegates focused on discussing issues regarding internal political security, drug-related crimes, crimes and violations committed by under-16 offenders.

Concluding the meeting, Minister To Lam highly appreciated outstanding achievements of the Public Security Forces in April, and requested public security units and agencies nationwide to ensure absolute security and safety for activities celebrating the Reunification Day, the International Labour Day and the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Minister To Lam also asked departments under the Ministry to actively fight reactionary and hostile forces, enhance immigration management as well as speed up the investigation of key cases under the supervision of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption and Negatives and cases of public concern.
